It kind of surprises me how the fitness and health industry are so massive. It also surprises me how so many people are fat, sick, and have chronic health issues.
Then again, I have been in the fitness game for most of my life, so I suppose I’m not really the best example. But that said, I get a lot of questions from people who are essentially asking different variations of the same thing:
Can I eat this food?
What kind of workouts should I do?
Will this break my fast?
What about cardio?
In my opinion, fitness is very simple and not something that should occupy too much of your mental energy. In fact, it shouldn’t really take up any of your thought process at all. I’m not saying you need to integrate it into your life (even though you do), but when it comes to being fit there are a few principles that once you understand them, will make being fit something easy and achievable.
Here they are in no particular order:
1. Work out (lift weights or play a sport)
2. Eat healthy natural foods that existed 5000 years ago
3. Eat once a day and fast occasionally for 2-3 days at a time
That’s really it. If you do those three things, you’ll be in better shape than 99.999999% of the human population on earth. Everything else is just in the details.
