I know that Nathan Lyon does not have as many variations as Ashwin but he is still the best spinner in tests because of perfection at conventional off spin.Ashwin is high class but Lyon plays in countries like Australia, England where spinners Don't get much help and most of the times when he comes onto bowl, opposition has already lost 3 or 4 wickets which means that he won't have many games where he can pick up five wickets.
