A car crashed into a hospital’s emergency room in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday, killing the driver and injuring five other people, including a child with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
The car smashed into the lobby of the emergency room shortly after 5:30 p.m., fire officials said — the driver was pulled from the car and received CPR but died in the ER, authorities said.

Don't they have vehicle barriers in front of hospitals for this exact reason? People going to the hospital may not be in the best condition to drive, especially those rushing to the ER.
Looks like this driver might have died while pulling in and their foot got stuck on the gas pedal if this wasnt intentional. I've seen people almost drive in to the ER but they had barriers while bleeding out with a gunshot wound.
The tires were still spinning/smoking inside the ER so they must've had their foot on the gas instead of brakes. They used to call that pedal misapplication.
Now that has got to be a first
