A 10-year-old girl is facing charges of second-degree murder after allegedly shooting and killing a woman who was arguing with her mother. WESH’s Anika Hope reports.

That mother is the one to be arrested and tried for murder.
Throwing her 10 yr old daughter a gun, is basically telling the girl to shoot the person who is attacking your mother.
Let this baby get back to playing and school. Put mom in jail.
a tragedy. i think the mother didn't intend on killing or she would've used the gun herself, i think she just was going for a fist fight, tossed her bag to the child and then it went on…
either way, the mother should be held responsible one way or another, even fighting in front of the children is enough to influence their life in a bad way.

JUST read a post about a 12 year old boy, robbing a store at gunpoint; no shots fired though.
I don't care what she did. Charging a 10-year-old in a court of law is child abuse, and would be out of the question in any truly civilized society. She should, obviously, be immediately put into protective custody and rehabilitated if necessary, not forced to stand trial. In no reasonable country would literal children be subject to punishment by the state, and it amazes me what perverse barbarity people will accept and promote when it is presented to them as the status quo.
The right seems to be all up in arms these days fear mongering about the apparent threat posed to children by the acceptance of trans people, but will any of them question this? Somehow I doubt it. And the people who defend the sentencing of this child in the comments are legitimately unevolved in my mind – your aquiescent, uncritical acceptance of such a clearly odeus state of affairs makes the many great crimes committed by states (or in their perceived interest) explicable.
Sounds like the mom knew what she was doing. Like trained her that she is a minor so if anything goes down and I throw you my purse, do this since you're a minor and they go easy on minors. Seems odd that a 10 yr old would know that mom keeps a gun in her purse and she should pull it out to shoot someone. A normal kid would be crying and screaming like leave mom alone or say let's go mom, don't argue with her.

I'm confused. How is it that her mother, who threw her the gun, is responsible for her child having access to the gun and was her primary influence, is still roaming around free? Or did I miss something. Was the mother arrested?
There is a school to prison pipeline? What? How does that have anything to do with a mother who gives her child a gun for crying out loud?
