Authorities in Volusia County, Florida, say an 11-year-old girl was arrested and charged with a felony after she texted 911 to falsely report her friend was kidnapped. NBC News’ Marissa Parra reports.

Let the parents be financially responsible for their child's prank.
That kid threw her ownself under the bus by learning the stupid way that you should never play jokes on 911.
That kid was very stupid to do something so stupid.
God help us.
This seems directly influenced by the Carlee Russell story. I hope there wont be more stupid pranks like this.
Community service is a MUST in these kinda situations involving minors…total the dollar amount of resources used & multiply it by 3.
