It is sad. I had to retire due to lack of staffing nad inherent injuries from lack of help in the later years of my work life. I support nursing strike for better pay or atleast health support.

The pay and STAFFING is nation wide in the hospitals and nursing homes along with all health care. Mandatory to stay additional shifts. Over whelming and all of us nurses are feeling it. To the point you are burnt out and rather stuff envelopes for a living. I hope things change them I would love to work as a nurse again.
How do the patients suffer if the hospital refuses to give them a 30 % raise… I tell you how… because if these entitled nurses don’t get what they want they take it out on the patients as usual. If you wanted to make the same as a doctor then you should have went to school to become a doctor and not a nurse
The nurses are the glue that hold the whole thing together and they are NEVER given the respect and compensation they deserve! The bureaucrats make the money, not the nurses! The nurses take care of the patient but they're handcuffed by paperwork that does nothing to improve patient care. I ought to know. I worked for 35 yrs. in my career as an RN!
