17-year-old Addison Bethea was hunting for scallops on the Keaton Beach shore in Florida when a shark grabbed onto her leg and thrashed her around. Her firefighter brother tourniquet her leg which aided in saving her life. A shark had been spotted four days prior in the same spot. This incident comes after an attack in the Florida Keys on Wednesday and another in California eight days ago. Though statistically, shark attacks are less probable than being killed by a firework, concerns arise as climate change warms waters bringing sharks closer to shores.

Can't figure out why sharks are moving. It can't have anything to do with climate change because GOPers don't believe it exists and everyone in the world with brains are wrong.
There are always sharks in the water. I'm in the ocean for hours every week & the only time I even think about sharks are when rude shore fishermen start casting right next to the surfers and swimmers. I'm highly interested in a regulation that says no casting/fishing if swimmers/surfers/beach goers are within 100 yards.
I still don't understand why so many people risk going in the ocean. Call me a coward but I just can't imagine putting myself in that situation.
