Here is the deal. Even if you get your money back; that company has had your money for a long time and could have invested and made a nice pay back. Money that you could have made if you had invested it yourself.

Ordinarily, most travel companies should keep customer deposits in an interest-earning „escrow“ account so that if things go wrong – Like they've done here – Those customers can be refunded. Yet in this case the costs concerned would be so high they'd probably have no choice but to use those deposits to pay for the things the cruise needs, especially if buying a whole ship for the cruise was a part of that plan. 💸
Hoping those affected manage to get as much of their money back as possible, but the realist part of me does want to add that a high-cost cruise of this nature – Which seems like a three year all-inclusive vacation contract – Might have to be seen more as an investment than a safeguarded purchase. 🎰
The idiots got scammed, who in their right mind would think a year on a cruise ship would cost 30k? A week costs like 5k.. just one year should be costing atleast 150k.

Oh those poor people. Such a tragedy of global proportions. Why isnt this on every news outlet? Instead theyre going on and on about that racket in the middle east thats been going on for days now. What are these people going to do now with those 3 years they planned for? Well, the bright side is they can go back to work and save all that PTO and vacation time for other things. Maybe their employer understands and will just allow them to still take those three years off. My heart and thoughts go out to these people and their families.
