After more than two weeks trapped in a tunnel, 41 workers in India are finally free. A landslide caused the tunnel to give way, blocking the only exit with 200 feet of rock and debris. NBC News’ Janis Mackey Frayer shares more on the remarkable rescue.

Phew! All's well that ends well. I'm sure the friends and families of the 41 trapped workers are over the moon with relief and joy right now, as are all the heroes who worked painstakingly over the past few weeks to make this all possible.

what a rescue. thank you , Indian experts, International experts, Indian Army, and miners for collaboration to save lives. kudos to men stuck in tunnel for keeping calm, exercising, and meditating.

Two Augur machines were brought in from the USA by the Indian Air Force 2 different times broke down and the drill got stuck in the hole drilled with 10 meters to go then the rat hole miners came and dug by hand for 10 meters to get these people out.

I saw an interview with a father whose son was trapped.
He waited for 4 weeks, never leaving the mine site.
He was elated; cried and kissed his son! I could feel his joy! He said "I'm an old man" but he said his son still has a long life to live.

For each 41 workers, there were 41 ambulances for them. Those men didn't desire all this, they didn't took trolley to move out, they crawled in that 60m 900mm dia pipe. They will just look for heavy food after moving out, they will not ask for doctors also, bcoz they have developed the survival skills.
