My heart aches for Darnell's real mother. No doubt she has been brutalized by the system claiming she wasn't good enough, not given resources she needed, prevented from seeing or speaking to her child, now she has to watch this play out. Sending you hugs.

Please fire the officers that passed by the vehicle on the opposite side of the road. They had a description of a grey jeep and should have immediately turned around. That poor baby's life could have been saved 😔😔

I just looked it up and the poor baby was found dead in a drainage ditch. Police are now saying it's a homicide investigation. I'm trying to understand what needs to be investigated. The foster mother/killer killed the 5 year old baby. Her husband said she suffers from bipolar disease and mental illness. This may sound harsh, but why did social services allow her to be a foster parent? 😢 😠

How very sad for this poor child. He had his whole life ahead of him and, then a sicko disguised as a foster mom takes his life and, disguards him life a piece of garbage. Do the same to her or just out her in prison..they will surely take care of her.😢😢😢😢

Fostering a child is harder physically and emotionally than many think. Everyone who looks nice isn’t able to stay nice when it’s hard every day.
Community is the best support. You need to build a supportive family network for yourself and it has to fit the child too.

We need to pray for Moms & Foster Moms – all parents really – the other day it was News that a Mom who killed her baby by putting baby in a hot oven "confusing" it with the baby's crib & other Mom who allowed her toddler son over a period of weeks to have frostbite so badly that his for needed to be amputated- she protected herself & the other adults living in the home from the cold, but not her toddler.
Moms & Foster Moms are going nuts. We need to pray 🙏

Don't know why anyone is shocked. Most of us who've lived in foster care knows how awful many were. Thing is, there's simply not enough good people willing to step up and do the job and social services isn't great about supporting the foster parents they have because they are overwhelmed, underpaid and understaffed. I always thought I would become a foster parent, but I've seen too many poor decisions to return children to their parents only to have that parent do more damage and the kid ends up back in foster care. (I was one of them. When I was 2.5, the family I'd been with since birth fought tooth and nail to keep me, but my bio mom was 18 and wanted me. She'd only visited once bc she had no family member willing to drive her to the foster home, so they basically sent me with a stranger who had no clue how to care for a child or herself. In the 4 years she had me, I was abused in every way possible by the poor choice of men and friends she hung with. I learned at 3 how to call the ambulance (before 911) because she was frequently in bad relationships. And then, when she gave me back up for adoption, they didn't give me back to my 1st family, but to a horrible foster home where I stayed until adopted by an uber strict religious family that were also emotional and physically abusive – but still better than the foster home.)
So many of these foster homes are worse than the childrens family home. Its sickening. Dcfs in ohio is a major mess and they are remiving kids and putting their lives in jeopardy in doing so. Smh. Sad.
