What about
drunk driving ?
Is that still a no-no ?
FYI U DON'T NEED A DRIVERS LICENSE, INSURANCE OR PLATES TO DRIVE ON ANY ROAD IN AMERICA!!! WHY? BECAUSE ITS YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO TRAVEL ON ANY ROAD N AMERICA. I FEEL A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT COM8NG ON !!!
Just wait until all those illegals start driving without licenses!
Be responsible and life is much much easier.
There are programs that you can go to that help you pay for those tickets though come on now, I get that financially you may he ruined but you could still ask for help, if you rack up thousands of fees just because you didn't take action that's on you
Then pay your tickets
Go to the oil rig
I don't think a private company should be doing a states job when it concerns infractions and laws. The state could just hire someone to make/remake the system that would track all this and add the appropriate fines. Cause when you privatize something (the prisons for example) it becomes all about the money instead of making someone NOT do something again. However, the lady could have just gone to court and worked it out (or just not do the infraction). Omnibase only gets involved when you DON'T pay or DON'T appear. She has a house and nice looking furniture and she says she cant pay while also saying she went through a divorce (which is a time when women win hand over fist) so how could she not pay her ticket(s)?
Also, due to the DUI check in vehicles now we aren't far off from our vehicles not working if we don't have insurance or an active DL. An i for one can't wait for it to happen.
Sheeeeit, you mean I gotta pay my tickets🤷🏾♂️
Laws and regulations are out there for a reason, if low income ppl can't afford extra tickets then learn how to avoid them. However if by any chance you get one show up to court and fix it, ignoring something won't make it disappear. It's called being responsible
Implementing this during a major election year is disenfranchisement at its most egregious.
Driving should be a right not a privilege. What happened to the right to travel. Do we even own the cars if we cant drive them on "public roads" do we even own the road we get taxed for paving?
abolish drivers licence for all but CDL commercial drivers. nuff sed
How was this not already a thing..? Is America that late on common sense?
The lack of accountability is sickening.. you can go on a payment plan or better yet stop making bad decisions it's not that hard people stop messing up people's insurance because you decide to drink and drive.. or because you don't want to follow the law and not pay for your consequences.. they should just revoke their licenses after the 3rd ticket and issue a warrant for skipping court
can't do the time, don't do the crime. The program targets people who don't appear or pay their tickets period. don't get a ticket then you won't have to worry about it.
Do it in new jersey too
Her upper lip isnt moving
Since I share the same first and last name with a fellow Texan who had been pulled over in 2017 without a license or insurance years ago, my name was submitted into that IMPERFECT Omnibase system around, sometime before summer of 23, when I got a letter telling me my dl would not be renewed. I had to go out of my way and pause my life, just to gather any pertinent documentation that proved I was not the one pulled over, in a county across the state., back in 2017. Thankfully, I kept old credit card statements that placed me at a different place, hundreds of miles away, when that traffic infraction by a person with the same first and last name occurred. These municipalities and county governments place too much faith in their broken systems. And this is the second time in my life that occurred. About 10 years before that, I found out my drivers license had been suspended for other infractions, including a failure to show up in court. Turns out, the county, all the way across the state, already had the guy with the same first and last name in jail. All because an officer assumed the person he pulled over, who shared the first and last name as me, was the same person whose drivers license he pulled up in his system. The perpetrator didn’t get a license in his name until 2023. I’m just sharing this, because it can happen to anyone. I despise the reliance on the Omnibus system or just a broken system that can so easily mis-identify someone or so carelessly peg an infraction to a person who shares the same name as someone else. The distress it causes, and the dehumanizing unsympathetic treatment of people who are misidentified is an injustice to itself, and Texas is waaaaay too comfortable with treating its citizens like dirt. C’est la vie.
Gotta pay for all those immigrants somehow!!!!!!…
Simple! Stay away from texas!
When states privatize law enforcement like this, money becomes more important than keeping people safe and in turn, hurts more people than it's helping. It's time for Texas taxpayers to stop paying big corporations like Omnibase to do what the state should be doing and making huge profits with taxpayer dollars. Omnibase has turned a way to keep our roads safe into a way to make money and now, that's the real motivation.
In Canada, if you don't pay vehicle/driver tickets the license and plate renewals will be suspended. If you cannot pay it is best to have a hearing in court. Then a payment agreement can be set up. Depending on the situation the judge may completely dismiss the fine.
Why can’t we do the same in every state???
Republican government in the nutshell 😂 💩
How do you forget to pay your ticket?
Reason why you should go to court and make payment plans
