Really, you have to give a contrary report at the end. How about telling the whole truth. It is the Azov battalion that has prevented people from leaving. That have posted their armaments in civilian areas. There are even reports of the Azov shooting civilians. Why not do some journalism for a change. Many credible reports are out there. But I suspect you know that.
I'm surprised this is even being shown by any news channel here in the U.S.A. MSNBC and CNN aren't going to air this.
This channel has been lying about mariupol for 5 weeks and only now shows the truth because people are going to start telling the world about the MURDERS BY THE UKRAINE FORCES. And for those people who get mad at this statement… get ready, and remember what I said.
A city with a population of more than 400.000…. estimated ~150.000 still "living" there and after weeks of no water and no food, these are the only ones willing to take help from the Russians, which btw. blocked every humanitarian aid coming from western countries or other regions of the Ukraine for weeks.
Putting aside that these people are most certainly desperate after being bombed by Russian troops for weeks now… these images do not show people that are happy to see the Russians.

Not taking sides… but it is heartwarming to see residents of Mariupol liberated after decade of Ukie occupation, ethnic cleansing, crimes of Azov/Nasty and general strategy of Ukie using civilians as human shields and war crimes, while RF is helping civilians… RF should be congratulated on defeating huge Ukie NATO-trained/equipped army (+600K with reserves) using much tinier force (<100K first now ~200K), with minimal civilian casualties (unprecedented in any war in my lifetime). Looks like overwhelming victory, and Ukie nasties are surrounded, hopefully with lasting peace. Best wishes!
