Some families and doctors are suing the state of Alabama after the governor signed a bill criminalizing transgender health care for minors and becoming the third state to restrict gender-affirming care for transgender and nonbinary youth. So if children are mentally capable of deciding their own gender and allowing themselves to be submitted to life altering surgeries, by that logic they can also decide to engage in sexual activities. They may be different scenarios but fundamentally they require similar levels of understanding and maturity.
Sorry, but what is "gender-affirming care"? Do you mean surgeries on children and teenagers that are irreversible? Is that what you mean by the euphemism "care"??? Take your care and shove it.

This is a good thing. Doctors that are prescribing medications that STERRILIZE kids or preform surgeries that change their bodies permanently need their licenses revoked.

Oh no! Alabama is turning into Alabama! Who knew the south is full of crazy conservatives? This isn't news, this is America.
I'm questioning something. I'm NOT anti-anyone, but I wonder how much social and family pressure, has to do with the EXPLOSION of transgender KIDS! How many kids from LGTBQ+ households just COPY the example they see every day, without actually making an ADULT decision about it? I DO realize that some people have physical reasons and were born with mixed-up sexual organs or real psychological imperatives… BUT, kids are impressionable and I would like to know how much they REALLY understand. After all, they are CHILDREN and are supposed to need supervision and are not allowed to make adult choices. I don't think that KIDS should be able to choose some things until they get to an age where they can separate TRYING TO FIT IN, with BEING YOURSELF… Teens and youths do NOT react to peer pressure and life in general as ADULTS do.
Whatever they want to be to feel GOOD inside, they can choose that when their BRAIN is fully developed.
Just a thought. NO HATE please. I'm sure there are exceptions. I'm just a dad that SAW how my son changed when growing up and how he would NEVER think as he did as a teen with his earned life experience…

So let me get this completely right . These people believe that it's ok for their children to believe they know who they are supposed to be better than God ? That a person with less than 20 years experience on earth knows themselves better than millions of years of evolution ? And that the solution that fixes a child that isn't sure who they want to be is permanent transformation into something that does not exist in nature ? Where is logic and critical thinking involved in these decisions?
