Amazon is adding a five percent fuel and inflation surcharge to third-party sellers in the U.S., which accounts for at least half of all Amazon sales. The price increases will most likely be passed onto consumers as smaller retailers struggle to stay afloat. FedEx and UPS have also announced fuel surcharges.

With Domestic Carrier Transport companies, they all charge Fuel Surcharges from 10% to over 80% for TL Freight movements, there is no wonder they have added it, i am just surprised that it is expressed in a Fuel Surcharge %, once that is implemented NO COMPANIES, take away Fuel Surcharges, once implemented, never removed……..I personally know companies that are mainly alive in Canada and making TONS of profit for the last five years charging Fuel Surcharges, now the couriers are on board and will not stop at more profit……..

Amazon raises shipping price on 3rd party sellers to cover Amazon’s own shipping cost. Basically Amazon keep products they sell price low from over charging 3rd party seller more, therefore transferring cost to other and increases Amazon profit.

Amazon has become a mess, with the new return hassles, numerous fake reviews, poor quality products, inaccurate descriptions, ongoing junk mail from sellers, etc. We dumped prime and quit buying from them. It’s better to go directly to the sellers.
