The U S. has the most firearms per capita of any country in the world (Yemen is second). Not surprisingly, we also have the highest rates of gun violence of any country in the developed world by far. Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Norway, and almost all other developed countries have some of the strictest gun laws, and also have the lowest rates of gun v-olence of any country in the world. Coincidence? I think not. This is the price you pay for "freedom." I hope it's worth it.

Mayor Adams supposedly took issue with "defunding the police", YET crime is reportedly on the rise…
1) even after police budgets had actually sharply increased, not decreased, when Biden took office. Biden even advertises every now and then, that "defunding the police is not the answer." — clearly not a "progressive liberal" policy.
2) even as the U.S. continues to have the largest prison population anywhere. Just locking up "offenders" for long durations has apparently not reduced or prevented crime, or make the U.S. the "safest" country on the planet — clearly not a "progressive liberal" policy.
3) showing that police are largely reactive to, not preventative of crime — larger police state is clearly not a "progressive liberal" policy.
4) police fatal shootings/killings of unarmed young people, particularly those of color, has shown no sign of abating — clearly not a "progressive liberal" policy.
5) both "red states and blue states are experiencing rises in crime", according to Eric Adams himself. Yet, not a single state to date is operating from a "defund the police" premise — clearly not a "progressive liberal" policy.
This then begs the question: what the heck is Eric Adams allegedly alluding to, when he blames rise on crime on "progressive liberal" policies?
