The United States and NATO have provoked Russia into this war by denying the people of Donbass their national rights, after having installed an ultra nationalist client regime in Ukraine that would not even be recognised in the West as it violated democratic norms by overthrowing an elected government via a 'spontaneous' sponsored by the CIA, who have a long history of interference in the region.
I've covered this extensively as it is in my posts and comments, but Zelenskys denials of the existence of neo Nazi militias are a downright lie, as their existence and persecution and killing of ethnic Russians in Crimea and Donbass has been well documented by many sources. Following the 2014 coup ethnic Russians were burned alive in a trade union headquarters in Odessa, an atrocity by these white supremacists that the Western media has totally distorted and glossed over.
The people of Donbass voted overwhelmingly to secede from a Ukraine that failed to recognise their language as official, banned in from being taught in schools and enabled the infamous Azov Battalion (a Ukrainian paramilitary SS style death squad) to terrorize the people in the breakaway regions, while the West turns a blind eye to their sufferings and very existence.
I'll tell people over and over, if you must condemn Putin condemn also the people of Donbass who have pleaded with him to come to their aid. The referendum following the 2014 coup was declared 'illegal' by the 'international community', and not wanting to be drawn into a war at that stage Putin had no choice but to reject their request to join the Russian Federation, and it has only been recently he has even recognized their existence officially. The West has wanted war with Russia for a while now, and tragically Ukraine is being used as a proxy.
It spoke volumes to me when out of a Russian resolution to the United Nations for States to ban imagery, paraphernalia etc glorifying Nazism and the Third Reich, the United States and Ukraine were the only States that openly voted against it, while most of their allies cowardly abstained.
It also speaks volumes that the West is resorting to open censorship, banning Russia Today from being aired in the EU, while Facebook and other social media outlets use more subtle forms of censorship, although its YouTube channel has been banned, alongside that of Sputnik. They become increasingly authoritarian, robbing us of liberties and terrifying a population into compliance via their propaganda war, yet have the audacity to condemn Putins regime on the grounds of its lack of 'democracy'. Democracy is something the West aren't interested in, what they really are interested in is expanding their sphere of influence further Eastwards to gain territory and resources, which is posing a genuine threat to Russia's national security and borders.
The Putin regime may be far from perfect, but he is by no means the monster the Western governments and their media mouthpieces are portraying him to be, to gain support for economic sanctions that will cost their own civilians in terms of fuel prices. This explains why Britain and the United States continue to arm Saudi Arabia as it continues to wage its dirty war on Yemen. Where are the images on our TV screens of suffering civilians in that country, and where are the calls from the Prime Minister for families to house refugees trying to flee Yemen? Nowhere to be seen. If anyone truly believes we have a free press with independent journalists allowed to tell the truth, they are clearly not informed and are essentially being gaslit on a mass scale. Fortunately some people have woken up, but not enough.
Russias war with Ukraine is an act of defense rather than aggression and is by no means unprovoked. I'm not claiming either side is totally innocent, but this is far from the black and white narrative presented to us by the MSM.

If we are protecting our people then UK needs to be in Ukraine to protect UK people living there. France needs to be in Ukraine to protect French people living there, Germany to protect German people there, USA to protect American people living there. Every country needs to be there to protect their nationals.
