Many African students who were in Ukraine reported experiencing outward racism and discrimination when trying to flee. As a response, a group of volunteers created Black Foreigners in Ukraine, a global digital network helping Black people caught up in the war.

I don't know why, but since the war began, something has been telling me that Russia is doing the right thing.

I can't even imagine. On top of dealing with a war, they then have to deal with racism. It's so wrong. I'm so glad they got the help they needed and that there is a system formed to help others get the resources they need to get to safety.
