Because of goverment interference, General MacArthur wasn't permitted to take North Korea; later our gov. piddled around and we lost in Vietnam, later in Afganistan, plus we fouled up withdrawing when we did in Iraque. One thing that the UN can do to save lives of the civilians who are trapped in the crossfire is to negotiate with the Russians that the UN peace keepers be allowed to escort the exodus of the civilians for their safe passage out of the battlefields. Bases on what Mr. Taylor said that the Ukraine is fighting this war for Europe b/c if the Russia won, they would be getting closer to NATO; therefore, we can say if Russia loses, NATO would be getting closer to Russia. Hence, everyone is justified on this fight. To settle this for peace sake, Ukraine should be advised to be Neutral Country and neither join NATO nor Russia. Most especially if the NATO is not ready to get involved because Russia would eventually defeat the Ukraine and would be closer to NATO while Ukraine would be destroyed.
