A group of three meteorology students from the University of Oklahoma died from a car crash after the EF-3 tornado in Andover. The group safely witnessed the Kansas tornado and was driving back to campus when authorities say their car hydroplaned, putting it in the path of a semi-truck. They were killed by the driver's hubris behind the wheel, not the aftermath of the tornado.
So sad, well at least they were together and following their dreams. It was likely an epic day too, i only hope their passing was quick and relatively painless. As a sufferer of severe chronic pain, i now unfortunately understand the plight of family and friend who dealt with chronic issues most of their lives. I led an extrem3ly fulfilling life also doing what I loved. Many people never even get to experience the love of doing a passion, and thus these young men were lucky to have that, and each other to the end. Rest in peace.

It's ironic that so many storm chasers have died because of traffic, not the storms. There were 2 others that died because one of vehicles didn't stop at a stop sign a few years ago.
