I – even in February – was not convinced of an all-out invasion on all frontiers. Because it would inflict so much damage to Russia itself.
Like the story goes from Putins mouth: 'To reach my goal there will be a high price to pay – in blood and the life of young soldiers – but i am willing to make that sacrifice'
It just didn't make ANY sense for instance to fight this fu*** northstream pipeline through the baltics against all odds and then throw it out of the window – together with 40 years of economic cooperation containing the supply chain for nearly all military projects, the monetary life line nr. 1 – hydrocarbons, the reputation of the russian arms industry – maybe in the end even the base in syria.
This HAS to be the most idiotic war from the eyes of the agressor and the victim.
The only thing that can save Ukraine now is negotiating. US and Nato don't want that.
Ukraine is the perfect place to launder the money from weapon sales and etc.
Sad that most leaders don't really care about the people. Take a look at Afgan, Syria, Libya and Iraq.
There was once a country on the road to freedom when it was waylaid by a neighbouring country, robbed and left to die on the wayside. An important NATO country passed by and crossed the other side of the road since its delegation had an important meeting on security. Another country belonging to the European Union passed by, but its members had a meeting in Brussels about who could and couldn’t join them. Finally, an unaligned country came by and immediately reached down to help the beleaguered country with whatever it needed to repel the enemy. It leant it fighter planes to secure the skies and anti-artillery batteries to protect its cities. In the words of the Master, “which one was the good neighbour?”
But it has bring all other NATO-Contrys in danger also… 👆🏼

Yes, he should have stayed a buffer state but the $billions the US has sent to his corrupt state of Ukraine caused him to hear the siren song of the West.
He should have stopped the boat shelling/ sniping of Donbas with its Russian population years ago before 14k + people were killed. But he didn’t and he poked the bear and now he and his country and Russia and even the US will pay dearly. IMHO.

Aren’t people tired of being lied to. When in a few years it comes out that the US government misled the public on the war in Ukraine what then?
It’s happened every time there’s a conflict that involves the US, how are people so sure that this time is different? How do you know that this is the one time in history the west isn’t fabricating lies to fit their Agenda?! They lied about Iran in the 70s, the lied about Nicaragua and Iraq in the 80s, they lied about Iraq in the 90s, they created a new lie about Afghanistan in the 2000s, lied about Gaddafi and Syria in the 2010s and now you believe them on Russia in the 2020s?
NATO would have had to change its laws for membership. I feel it should have happened but could not happend due to border conflicts.
