That business about Tesla's can't keep them in stock…..well it's true that they can't keep their inventory the fact is that a Tesla doesn't charge itself up it has no solar cells on its roof…… And then once you factor in the cost of charging at your home or charging at a charge station you find that the dang car is roughly the equivalent of a gasoline car that gets 10 miles per gallon that is not an exaggeration that is accurate equal for equal…
The electricity that you spend charging a Tesla up is going to cost you roughly what it cost to put gasoline in a 10 mi per gallon car… And you don't have the versatility of a gasoline engine you're not going to be able to drive across Montana or Wyoming and 8 ft deep drifts of snow with a reasonable expectation that you're going to find gasoline everywhere you go you're not going to find a charge station everywhere you go…..
You may notice Elon only talks about the performance and technology of a Tesla he does not talk about what it cost to drive it or to buy it
