There is a reason that China gives money to the Universities in the USA… its so China can get their people educated in the US so they can get jobs in industries that China wants to compete with the US… once a china kid goes to a US school then gets a job at a semiconductor company for a few years they move them back to China as a fully educated…fully trained in a US semiconductor Fab… if you go to some of these schools graduations you will see that the school is more China than others… some schools its hard for an American kid to get into because China is running those schools… tell it like it really is…
A couple other reasons there are more/larger semiconductor fabs in Asia… they didn't care about environmental problems so the fabs are easier and cheaper to build in Asia… I know of an area in Asia where the trade winds always blow a certain direction… so they would build the fabs so the wind would catch the bad exhaust and blow it out into the ocean… you can't do that in the US… its against the laws… and the US laws make building a fab here expensive due to environmental law requirements….
One more reason there are more/larger semiconductor fabs in Asia… because the US companies wanted to save money by not having to create the chips in the US and then pay to ship the chips to Asia to be installed in the devices… they call it real time manufacturing… you build the chips in Asia and people like Apple build their products in Asia from those locally sourced parts…. so all of those Fabs in Asia are simply because of costs to ship to the OEMs for final assembly….
The original fabs were in the USA.. they built special chips for weapons… there were no PC computers or Apple anything…. they didn't have an actual clean room like modern fabs like today.. they were just large open rooms… the US semiconductor companies almost went out of business simply because the US built chips weren't that good and the yields were bad… I remember actually smoking in the lap lab…. Japan had if figured out first so we sent our teams to Japan to study why their chips were better… it was mainly due to the fact that the US fabs were not clean room type fabs… we started to build better Fabs and the yields came up and saved the industry in the US…
Important to note… the technology of semiconductor manufacturing was stolen from the USA semiconductor fabs and schools…. simple fact… all they had to do was to purchase cases of hard drives and make backups from the tools that are utilized to make the chips…. I won't name company names but I do know for a fact that full fabs were backed up tool by tool and taken over seas…
The only kind of chip America can make is potato chips. Dumbass liberals
…and America weaponry is heavily tied to foreign produced chips… so in a WW3 scenario… in a prolonged war the US would run out of chips very quickly… simply said how dumb can one get to off shore such a vital part of US weaponry and tech in general.
Get rid of taxes on semiconductor manufacturing and capital gains taxes and the industry will come alive again.
