Police on Long Island are trying to solve a 12-year mystery of the disappearance of Shannan Gilbert. They released the 911 phone call of Gilbert on the night that she disappeared. The search led to the discovery of ten other sets of remains in the same area. Now police say there was no connection between Gilbert and the other murders.

I wonder what she took or was given that made her paranoid. Maybe she needed to be taking meds but hadn’t or all of the above. She said “somebody is after me” but didn’t give a name and she knew the name of each man who was there. the client just wants her to leave. You can hear him say that in the background. She sounds altered. Her driver is saying let’s go back to Manhattan. She still had the money she made on her when they found her body. It would’ve been pitch black in those marshes late at night. The driver left her there after he saw her knocking on doors likely not wanting to deal with police with her being irrational. I don’t think he did anything to her. I doubt the client did either. Either of them would’ve been implicated easily. She could’ve found herself in the marsh and freaked out further. One thing is for certain- were it not for the cops looking for Shannon they wouldn’t have found the other bodies. Her body wasn’t hidden purposefully it was only hidden by the marsh. Seems to me people want something to be true so bad they let that guide their assumptions. Gotta stay objective. It’s definitely sad.
Now this is the work we need the police to be doing. Not policing people for living their life
