Men also use the services at Planned Parenthood as well. Education about STDs, child care and preparing to become a parent. Many people don't have family to rely on so PP provides greatly needed assistance. STDs increase in areas where these services are eliminated.
PP's goal is to avoid abortion by providing free and/or affordable birth control for all women. Restricting funding for preventative health care for women will most definitely result in more abortions.
Public funds allocated to Planned Parenthood by law cannot be used for abortions. So the whole concept of defunding Planned Parenthood is ridiculous.
