As an American I would love it if the Media would stop plastering these little puke cowards faces all over the screens. The victims, sure but not the cowards who committed these acts. They should be forgotten and hopefully never known by anyone.

Reading these comments from Muricans, I finally came to the conclusion that Murica is finished.
If only teachers with a good background check and good training to conceal carry a weapon could carry, they could have had a fighting chance. Im sorry to the families that lost their loved ones and for how the media wants you to believe thats guns are the issue. The issue is how much they hype up this tragedy. I'm so proud of my home state. It's foresite in shutting down the state mental hospital in Austin in the 80s made sure that mental illness stays where it belongs. Untreated and in the streets.
Chris Murphy…you say putting a teacher with a gun, or a guard or guards in every corridor or classroom will not prevent a tragedy such as this shooting. if my child were there I would want a whole platoon, and these innocent victims should have had that as well, and this so called president has a lot of nerve, for causing the situations that provoke people to have more depression, and anger. This kid was depressed, which creates anger! This administration took SO MANY OFFICERS OFF THEIR JOBS. SEE how long it took when, last summer, rioters were out of jail for inciting violence, burning and looting, all with the blessing from our vice president. Expect more violence…Biden does not care…there are more depressed people here now, as there EVER was…BECAUSE OF WHAT OUR LEADERS ARE DOING TO THE ECONOMY, AND OUR SAVINGS, AND ESPECIALLY OUR CHILDREN!!! These people that do this are not only mentally ill but also chicken shi$ . They always attack the ones that cant fight back, in this case little kids at a place they thought was safe..
What has changed people to do this unthinkable thing. Someone should dig deep into these kids past and upbringing to see if there is a pattern. Did they listen to harsh rap, did they spend hours and hours gaming, did they drink or use drugs. A human mind learns from day one and is programmed by what we see.
I am 75, look at the tv shows and music my generation grew up with. Look at whats on tv now for kids to learn from.

How can you care about a baby in the womb but stop caring about that same child when they go to school? If we're not gonna prevent people with mental illnesses from buying assault rifles can we at least put police officers at every single school in the nation?
WHY do citizens need assault rifles? They belong in the military, not on the street or in the homes of us common folk. Buy a handgun or shot gun, those are enough to protect yourself and your home. All schools need metal detectors at the entrance and also main enter/exit doors that stay locked and can only be opened with school staff approval. Also atleast one full time armed police officer at every school in the U.S. This needs to be a standard!!!
