When I was in 4th grade, all I did was run around aimlessly not caring about anything because life was easy for me. I cannot fathom the fact that 10 year olds have to do this sh!t to stay alive. I cannot fathom the fact that the police, who are all heavily armed, did NOTHING. It took an off duty officer to end this mass shooting. Wtf???

That girl is braver than our politicians
We MUST have Martial Law declared and an Emergency Executive Order issued to collect ALL firearms and deploy the military to go door to door and collect every single gun and bullet and issue vouchers for the full retail cost of each item, to be filled on each person's tax return for the full value and pay them with the refund checks.
This is the only way to make our country safe.
Then using the shot detectors we can find anyone who fires a gun and they will be put in prison.
We have done this with other items before that were perfectly legal, till they weren't and they are not around any more.
Firearms should be in that same category.
They have done this in other countries.
There is no reason we can't do it in America.
Congress won't do it, but the president can.

What amazes me is what a good shot and seemed expert on handling those two guns especially for an 18 year old. Who taught him how to shoot and how to handle weapons. Where did he go to practice? Gun club ? Those 2 guns and ammo had to cost thousands. Maybe he received alot of money on his birthday seeing thst just a few days before he was made fun of his clothes due to his poverty. Would have thought he would have went to his workplace to get revenge. But good story about the young girl.
Every gun owner should be forced to justify their ownership of assault weapons to this little girl and her family.

This is beyond horrible and things need to change to prevent this in the future. We need to stop pretending that guns are the problem. Guns are the tool, the problem is our mental health care in this country amounts to nothing more than one big failure to Americans. Ban all the guns you want, the problem is still there. Fix the problem by fixing the mental health. America is arguably one of the worst countries in the world when it comes to mental health care, drug addiction and suicide. We provide Trillions upon trillions of dollars to help 3rd world countries fight an everlasting war, while our politicians do nothing to help the war we face here, mental health. Can we, for a change, have our leaders help US?
