While authorities admit to making severe and critical mistakes in stopping the Uvalde shooting, that action will be scrutinized by federal investigators who are looking into what went wrong. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement says “time is the number one enemy during active shooter response,” and the number one objective of police should be to stop the killing. Instead, 19 officers waited in a hallway for 47 minutes as children in the classroom called 911 and begged police for help.

I had no knowledge that 21yrs was federal for obtaining a handgun.
Someone suggested why not raise assault rifle age to 21.

Afraid to be shot and killed was the reason that Nineteen police officers Just stood and waited for over one hour before the tactical Squad
came and killed one lone killer of Children and their teachers .

This is what a weak society yields, cops that can't do their job either from incompetence, fear, or a mixture of both. They just stood there while the children were executed. Every cop that stood and watched should be hung.

Those who blame Police are for Defund the Police, right? Is it Defund Police, blame them for things YOU caused? Or fund Police & blame them for things you and they cannot control? Either way, this appears to be a case of a funded police dept that did not know tactics. Call them on it, fine. But they are a small border community who are battling problems caused by government incompetence. Border wall anyone? Immigration enforcement? This is the reason China will rule in the 21st Century. We are at each other's throats over enforcing our current laws, while arguing about new laws which, in many cases are irrelevant. Gun laws are already on the books, and not being enforced. Classic government move to blame people for their not doing their job.
Imagine surviving a global pandemic only to be shot dead by a deranged person in an elementary school of all places. What a tragedy.
