Said two months ago after initial Ukrainian tactical victories and before the Russian advance that Zelenskyy should concede to terms or Ukraine would get destroyed. That's what's taking place now with Russian scorched earth shelling. Putin and Russia have been clear from the start they won't accept NATO bordering. There was no threat to a nuclear Russia but what was difficult to negotiate? Now Russian forces have advanced making the conflict more complicated to negotiate a diplomatic solution. Admire the courage of the Ukrainian resistance fighters but at what cost to Ukraine..

Russians agreed to pull out of kiev region during negotiations. Zelensky was Pressured by Boris Johnson and US to shun negotiations. They promised money and weapons to secure victory. Zelensky started saying he would negotiations with only putin and Russian troops must leave donbass and crimea before any negotiations. He knows that wud be impossible. The Russians are pounding Ukraine now and he is begging. NO NEGOTIATIONS. HE should wait for the US to use his country as a geopolitical project and destroy it totally.
In addition to the topic: France and Germany supports Putin's bandit state, which is waging war. And what Germany is doing is a threat to the world, because Germany acts as a kind of political, economic guarantor of what Putin is doing.

On one hand, Vladimir Putin is a very prideful man. It would be extremely difficult emotionally for him to withdraw entirely from Ukraine. He does not value human life, even that of his own people, and so regardless of how many Russian soldiers die, he can draft or hire more. On the other hand, Ukraine does not have the manpower to push the Russians out of Ukraine entirely. Given all this, Zelenskyy faces a dilemma. He has to negotiate. How much territory is he willing to pay for in Ukrainian blood? How much territory does Putin believe he (Putin) can conquer? I am glad I am not in Zelenskyy’ shoes.
In February, I admire this president for not leaving his people even though western countries were encouraging him to leave. Then as weeks goes by, I lost those admiration when he wants us to enforce no fly zone, probably the first time I sided with Biden when he did not enforce the no fly zone in Ukraine. Then, Zelenskyy started to be demanding like the world must follow his demands or else. I’m not pro-Russia. I’m just expressing a frustration. We and US allies have been aiding them accepting refugee, etc. But it seems like this man, Zelenskyy never appreciate to the aid we sent to them.

Ukrainians intoxicated with the prospect of sovereignty and democracy tighten the snare on their own demise.
Democracy is based on a grain of truth sufficient to evoke the intended emotional reaction. For example, citizens will vote to place a halt to the use of land for housing in order to secure the future for their children. At the same time barriers that are virtually impossible to overcome are erected through local regulations. Housing ends up in short supply causing home prices to skyrocket beyond reach, rents are at maximum levels that exceed the incomes of the bottom twenty percent and continually climbs upwards. Thousands of homeless in each city. Citizens voted for a situation that no dictator could get away with? There are likely few, if any, barriers to building a home in Russia. Democracy and dictatorship have exchanged places in the equation.
In order to realize what path Ukrainians are taking that country should be compared to Canada that has a similar sized population with sizable territory and similar resources and not compared to the USA. The little con man knows where he is coming from and where he is headed. Ukrainians do not. The nation comprised of tenants will enjoy sovereignty, but will not be populated by its native people, as the country as a whole functions as an income generating enterprise exacted through rent that is concentrated into a few hands with tenancies replenished through massive immigration from a world wide pool. This has been referred to as the great replacement, a process that has progressed to an advanced stage in Canada.
Truckers in Canada were protesting needless regulations that were hampering their ability to continue earning a living. Life on the street beckoned. Their reward for a life of hard work. This follows a similar fate experienced by forestry workers during earlier years that were shifted to hospitality.
