It’s not quit clear that we are in a recession. Stocks say we are, but consumer spending doesn’t yet. Everyone is still spending like it’s 1999. That’s when the tech crash happened so we’ll see.
Saving huge sums of money helps no one. If the bottom drops out and the stocks falter, always ha a certain amount of government bonds. Five, year, if the economy is not too bad twenty- and twenty-five-year bonds. Do not put all your eggs in one basket. If you have a 401K, you need to ask about early withdrawal? It does no good to be out on the street with a 401K you cannot touch.
