Testing – Just like driver licensing – Firearm Licensing includes a written and operational component. 3. Insurance – Before a person can buy a car, it must have a license and insurance. The same should be true for firearms. A FIREARM LICENSE should be valid in all states just like a driver's license. A person needs to be 21. Although that age should be changed to 25, since that's when the frontal cortex is complete. Insurance companies have always lowered the rates at 25 or when married.

Storming in parents would have caught shooter off guard.
Time was of utmost importance from start. No reason for literally stopping willing fathers from entering unlocked door. Willing fathers to storm are more effective than unwilling or hesitant officers to storm.
Volatility, timeline investigation, cover, training, outside perimeter, b.s. excuses. Time was of utmost importance from start.

The Senators aren't taking this seriously one was smiling the others became incensed at the decorum of the conversation. Lets see how inconvenienced they feel in the conversation when one of their children or loved ones are killed by a 18 year old gunman because strong gun regulations and laws weren't passed because they had other issues on their mind instead….SMH
I don’t know why you keep repeating the same thing over and over over mass shootings, and do nothing about it in your country. At every mass shooting, you report the same thing, and then? Nothing. This Uvalde case with a lot of children getting shot and killed by a crazy teen is shameful for the United States of America. 1) No school should be without security. 2) No outsiders should be allowed in without a search (the way it’s done in hospitals).
I really don't understand why this is still a Issue. Especially after Sandyhook Elementary. Unless you're Military or Law Enforcement. If you're a regular civilian and at the age of 25 should you be able to carry a Glock 9 after certification and 30 day gun training. No assault weapons or heavy artillery whatsoever.
American Police is only "brave" when they shoot unarmed citizens…as soon they need to really prove their "courage" they wait for "re-enforcements"…

That man Angel Garza was a trained medic and was handcuffed trying to go into the building to get his daughter who turned out to be one of the dead…maybe he could have saved her, maybe she wouldn’t have been shot if they would have entered the moment the knew he was there not waiting an hour while the shooter went from class to class. This man could have saved other children before they bled out. He def. Wouldn’t have made the circumstances worse and def. Didn’t need to be detained by the posturing cowards afraid to go in.

The police thought more about losing a police officer than the children's lives. Their concern was that it cost money to replace police officers and retrain new ones. The classroom doors should be locked, and the little window and doors should be bulletproof. The teacher who left the door open should be prosecuted. A person hit with AR-15 can leave a hole the size of a baby bottle and bleed out in 5 minutes. Law makers care more about the shooters than who they shoot.
The shooter's mother does not speak English. What is her legal status regarding immigration?

When you sign up to be any type of law enforcement officer, You sign up for the possibility of DEATH IN THE LINE OF DUTY! You signed up for that, you took an Oath & made a promise to the American People to serve and Protect.
(Same as the military, you signed up for war, you were trained for war. You can’t run away when it’s time to go to war,without being punished.)

19 police officers in the hallway. They stood and listened to the what was going on and did nothing ? They couldn't have stormed that room and took that killer down? Coward police. Do not the police have guns and rifles that are just as powerful as the killer. Somebody got to be held accountable. They new babies were being killed and did nothing. I hope this is not what happened. This makes me just sick all over. I am so sorry to all the Mother's and Fathers who have lost their child in this. horrible way.
Both shooters know small town police aren't prepared this level of violence and were easy targets. Common sense gun laws plus police training, reforms, and disciplinary actions are needed!
