You have a culture of violence and entitlement.
You can't do psychological screening evaluations on everyone who buys a firearm. Its logistically impossible.
Lets consider this example and the Jodi Arias case. She bought a handgun within weeks of killing her boyfriend. Look at the Vegas massacre. Everyone who knew him was shocked. He had an arsenol of military weapons. Diagnosing a violent psychiatric condition is a costly and complicated process. It usually requires a referral because of symptoms that interfere with education, social behaviours,work or marriage.
You have to remove firearms from the hands of your general public.

I pray for these poor, innocent young children and their familes and their friends. I pray for their classmates who witnessed their slaughter. I pray for the other schoolmates who fled in terror not knowing if they would be next to die. I pray for the two teachers who died trying to protect their students and I pray for their families as they grieve for their loss. I pray for the other teachers in the school who escaped death by chance alone. I pray for the School administration as they relive the horrors of that day and for all of their continual questions of what they could have done to prevent this carnage. I pray for the town. And I continue to pray for this country. When will this ever end? What school or community is next? Because as much as I believe that the will rise in the morning and set at night, another shooting will occur somewhere in this country, and if history is any indication, it will happen soon.
