So so sad. May her family receive support during this time. A girl from my high school and her fiancé both passed away from severe injuries due to a parasailing accident in the Florida Keys as well.

I never feel badly when I hear about accidents in recreational activities that are begging for accidents to happen. You wanted to experience a life-endangering rush? Be careful what you wish for. What a dumb hobby. "At least she died doing what she loved" is rationalizing the stupidity of the "victim." There are so many safer AND SMARTER hobbies and activities. People act like they are indestructible video game characters now. I imagine this person trying to hit the "off" switch.
I guess we need tougher parasailing laws and blame the parachute manufacturer.
