Why is this a surprise. DOJ should be investigating every police department for racial discrimination. Madison WI is an extremely racist police department.

Many developed countries have Crisis
Intervention Teams (CIT's) that accompany
police and handle the situations such as this one
while the cops stand-down unless absolutely
needed.. The CIT's have a 99% success rate,
while here in America, woefully undertrained,
trigger happy cops prefer excessive use of force
or deadly force. Police in this country receive
much more weapons training than they do in
de-escalation. And so it goes.
Everyone knows that Louisiana is the most corrupt state in the Union. Why should we be surprised that its police are crooked as well?
I’m from southern Louisiana. And, it’s not just the state police that needs investigation. They need to look into every parish and city police departments in the whole state!

Its so scary. So many crooked cops everywhere. Its like its a sickness.

We are not fooled by the DOJ or Jim Crow Joe's administration. Foundational Black Americans have exposed the NATION'S patterns and practices. No restorative justice no vote. No reparations, no vote. No lengthy jail sentences, no vote. We don't care about the token Blacks you have heading this. We don't care about symbolism.
Every police officer on the street should be mandated to have a working body cam they cannot turn off or mute themselves and if they don't like it they can find another line of work. We have far too many of them roaming the streets acting as they please towards the citizenry and they almost routinely violate our rights in the pursuit of their ego power trips.
Long time coming, you know what you did, listen to Johnny Cash…..God is going to cut you all down….killers of innocents, fascists, rascial bigots. Hope you get yours.
There should be an overarching oversight organization who specifically looks into troubling cases (body camera + reports/witness testimony) as well as random cases weekly. ANY organization which allows tremendous access and power should have heavy oversight to minimize and/or reduce abuses of power and criminal activity.
THESE ARE WELL KNOWN FACTS. LOOK AT THE MAKE UP OF THE DEPT. SPEAKS VOLUMES.
