First move should be stop printing money !
US Govt is bringing in over $1.4 Billion per month from onshore and offshore royalties which is income you pay nothing for so pure profit – and you cannot find on their Democratic controlled websites how much profit the US made on the Petroleum reserve websites. However, Sec Jen Granholm gives a speech on the $12 Billion being spent on carbon recapture on June 17th see her speech on Energy Website.
The most fascinating thing about Steve Forbes is this thing he's a member of and refuses to ever mention.
I agree the fed should sell their bond portfolio which I believe is about 9 trillion & put at least 6 or 7 trillion towards principal balance on our national debt I think that'd work better & quicker than rate hikes I'd love to hear mr Kudlow's take on that

Conservatives say inflation results from too much money chasing goods. Who caused the big money supply we now have? Mainly the federal reserve board, which has a nine trillion dollar balance sheet. Secondly deficits increase the money supply. Trump ran a $3.1 trillion deficit in 2020. So he is villain number 2. This year the deficit will be down to one trillion so Biden is a distant villain number 3. Of course what people will ignore is that those increases in the money supply probably were a good idea. We were stuck in the Great Recession so the fed pumping money into the economy probably was necessary to get us unstuck. And Trump ran a huge deficit to prevent covid from flat lining our economy. Pretty much every country on Earth did what Trump did, all to keep covid from bankrupting the world economy. Our current inflation is probably the necessary consequence of steps needed to recover from the great recession and covid. Public discussion of our current inflation is so ignorant it is almost funny.
Biden lives in a fantasy world
The Fed is a private control device that should be abolished. The treasury should only issue currency which is then distributed among many banks setting a natural market interest rate.
