If the airlines know they don’t have enough staff, why have these flights available for purchase to begin with? I don’t believe all the staff suddenly fell ill or had emergencies that all these flights need to be cancelled/delayed when the customers are already at the airport.
Maybe they should try pay raises for their flight staff and stop overworking pilots. Most pilots are running 24 hours without sleep or breaks. With the ever growing abuse of flight staff from civilians, it's a miracle they even have flight attendants instead of officers.
