We've been saying this for years now: Cops exist to enforce the property rights of the wealthy, NOT to protect the citizens.

In the medical field you can lose your license, job, and be sued for patient abandonment. The cops did worse, they abandoned those children with a shooter whilst they sat outside safe in their body armor. The whole dept needs fired and sued for incompetence and neglecting to do their sworn duty. Not giving that police force one excuse for what happened to those babies on THEIR watch.

Uvalde PD failed the city and the deceased victims BEFORE the shooter even got in the school. The Uvalde PD failed to detain the shooter when they were called by the funeral home, even though the shooter was on foot. The school PD chief is being scapegoated for the Uvalde PD’s failure to respond to an shooter on the loose in their city. The Uvalde PD failed to prevent the shooter from entering the school even though they knew the shooter was in the area. The Uvalde PD basically allowed the shooter to enter the school in order to pin responsibility for the school shooting on the school PD. This is the very definition of cowardice. Responsibility for detaining the shooter doesn’t shift just because the shooter moves from one location to another. The Uvalde PD was lackadaisical before the shooter arrived at the school so it shouldn’t be surprising to anyone that they remained lackadaisical once the shooter entered the school. SHAMEFUL AND PATHETIC a to try to have the school police chief take the fall for Uvalde PD dragging their feet every inch of that way.

Police get scared of the first sight of blood which is why they wouldn't make good medical personnel.
None of this made sense to me until I finally read that the school is 80% hispanic. NOW all of the purposeful inaction, gross incompetence, refusal to work with the hispanic community, and lies about what happened ABSOLUTELY make sense. Sadly, the systemic racism isn't going to just go away.
So police put more effort stopping parents from rushing into the schools intimidating them with their guns, restraining some parents. All the while cops sat around picking their nose as children were executed one by one…… this can’t be real.

This is so typical of Liberals and their news channels (like ABC). I notice they never "scrutinized" the utter stupidity of a teacher (because we all realize that the teacher's union is in bed with the DNC) who chose to violate school safety measures, or the fact that their wasn't a well-controlled, centralized screening entrance/exit. Why not? Why weren't there more School Resource Officers… were they "defunded?"
Every solid piece of journalism should be able to answer these questions: Who, What, When, Where, Why and How. If it doesn't examine, or consider different possibilities, and/or adequately answer these questions then it's either insufficient, pure laziness, or politically biased.
ABC News is most definitely "Politically Biased", which is precisely why very few people have much confidence in the medias' ability to be "honest" these days. In fact, nearly every poll conducted in recent years have revealed that the vast majority of Americans distrust the media (more than ever before), and they say it's because of the media's political bias. I'd say!

waiting to Children’s Lives Matter to form and hold these cops accountable. they seem to be using the delayed time to try and cover up and confuse what happened… that they didn’t do their job, let kids die and all while sitting in the hallway loaded up with gear, vests, shield and training we all paid for them to use in this exact type of situation in uvalde. The lead guy is not talking because he’s all about protecting himself over being transparent to the grieving and angry community, the same decision he made that day at the school.

For me personally, failure and unsuccessful imply an attempt that didn't work out… but standing by with a metaphorical glass of water while children are dying of dehydration and you know you could help, isn't a failed attempt to give them water, it's deliberate criminal neglect and dereliction of duty to the point of complicity with the shooter.

The left wanted to defund, dismantle the police. I have many friends who are cops and sense the riots of the last few years, they are very afraid to do their jobs for fear of being hung out to dry.
