I remember the doctor that will smith played in movie was the medical examiner a few years ago and quit because of this issue.
Great report on the Los Angeles County jails, which were run by Sheriff Lee Baca, who was responsible for the jail hyper-violence that led to inmate beating deaths. Baca was released from federal prison in January of 2022 after serving two years for his role trying to suppress an FBI investigation into jailhouse violence. The record shows that the city and county of Los Angeles is a cesspool of corruption, from the Mayor's office to the City Council to the Sheriff's office and the LAPD.

I would expect this in texas, wherein a person need not possess any medical training at all, before becoming a coroner. SHAME, SHAME on the city of LA. HOW DARE YOU BE SO CALLUS. The Lynnwood Towers is one of the shadiest jails in all of Ca. It's run by the LASD so it's not surprising.

Very sad but not surprising one bit that people in a position of authority might just do whatever they can to protect their institutions and reduce their culpability. Happens every day in all sorts of institutions on different scales.
Im telling you no one in America believes this shi# happens with police, Judges, DA, Lawyers, the entire system is corrupt. Even misdemeanors handed out 90% are falsely filed which will destroy your changes for college and employment. What about that officer that raped 30 women inside his cruiser and when they filed charges they did not take it seriously. Also women working night shifts at companies get raped by their supervisors. But we all know black people are always taken to jail and they never see the day of light again.
