So sorry this young lady got taste tested by a shark in the Gulf Waters, as a Florida resident who has scalloped, spearfish, snorkeled and dove Keaton Beach ,Hagan's cove, steinhatchee River, Crystal River for many many years one of the biggest sharks I ever seen was about a 5 ft bull shark so I'm calling BS on a 9-ft shark most of the sharks you see here are little three to four foot scallop heads, I know it's traumatizing but just like the little old lady with the three foot gator in her pool wants to tell FWC officers it was about 7 ft long ,,ignorance is bliss. Hopefully it's a quick recovery because if it would have been a 9-ft shark she would have lost the leg in that instant.. 🎣🎣

Story is all over the place. Where is a boat in 6 feet of water ? Boats can’t be near 6 feet of depth. They must have been further out but how could a brother wrestle a shark away from his sister while he’s swimming ? A 9 foot shark in open water 6-9 feet isn’t going to let go of anything. Something is really off here w these details.

I was swimming in the water at a Fort Lauderdale area beach about 20 years ago. As I was at a depth where I could wade and swim, reach the ocean floor to spring back up, my foot came down on a human head. I could feel the hair in between my toes and topography of this face and head and feel the relative weight. It was a head and it was unmistakable. For years I thought maybe someone put a hit on someone, dumped them off a boat, but later I would realize that it was most likely a shark kill and what they couldn’t eat. And yes, I swam back to shore.
Just stay out of the water all together. Oceans are not meant for humans to go swimming in. That's why you have pools!
