There are millions who have stopped looking and do not qualify for unemployment.
The marketplace was sabotaged, the import market was sabotaged, gasoline was sabotaged, the car market was sabotaged. All markets depend on these categories. It WAS NOT the Stimulus that created inflation. It was the shortages in goods and fuels and transportation that have caused the damage.
The stimulus was given at too high of a threshold. A couple making 150k a year do not need stimulus.
When asked, the well off said they just put their stimulus in the bank. That did not "Stimulate" anything.
What the stimulus did was render aid to the lower class. They need to give more to them and lower the qualified to 50k for a single and 100k for a couple.
What the Stimulus did was generate taxes for Government services like Police, Fire, Water and other services.
Rich people have no business expressing why the Stimulus was a bad idea.
Groceries are still going up and so is everything else. If the RR goes on strike so will the truckers

i tend to agree with the fear that we have 5 more months of cpi data before the next congress is seated and if there is any decline in the rate of inflation manchin and sinema might succumb to the weight of the pressure and we will get a reconciliation spending bill, possibly even in the lame duck session. meantime both parties are signing on to increases in defense spending.
