  1. I'm a senior IT consultant and only have a high school diploma. I'm in the six figures and never needed a degree to get a job. Thank God

  2. "Believe" is the key word. These days, you need a Masters to be even at the bottom of comfortable on your own.

  3. What a dumb question. Of course you need college education. Ask the question what major you go into. If you go into garbage major like art and sociology, then ya, a GED is better. If you want to enjoy the luxury of remote working from home, making 6 digits income in AC office… you need a college degree. Duh.

  4. It's not worth it. I'm working at a engineer job without a college degree. lol Thanks to YouTube!

  5. The Republican agenda, only the rich get a college education.😡

  6. It's valuable, depending on how much political doctrine from evil, hate-filled leftwingers is tacked on the courses for no reason.

  7. I have a masters and my first job started me out at $37,000 per year. I had to have a second job because rent was very high, groceries, all the other bills. I don’t work there anymore, but at the time I thought what was the point of college if I can’t survive off of a masters degree

  8. I can't get into college because i can't afford to pay for it.

  9. college does have value, but only for certain directions of study, the value is lost from the fluffer crap classes and degrees that have no real world utility. Im 36 and starting college for a bachelors with a minor, in a valued track of study in tech that is not often wanted by many because its not a "cool" job offering degree, but it is a valuable one with exceptionally high starting average salary above 180k per year… so yeah 40k for college i will take

  10. Free!!! Need I say more smh my country is gready

  11. If you wanna to pay for the rest of your life the. That’s your job and good luck

  12. You don’t have to be successful to go to college. You still can be successful.

  13. I went to college and it was the biggest waste of money, time and stress. I make more money now in a totally different field that i learned from YouTube ❤️🙌🏽

  14. Don't waste time with college, learn a trade instead. You will make more money and have less debt. College is basically a scam at this point.

  15. If I need a lawyer and call for a consultation he/she would respond within an hour. When I need a plumber desperately for my clogged bathroom/ kitchen sink they would respond within a week and schedule me in 2 weeks. One of the reasons for this is that many lawyers have the debts for the degree.

  16. I think many degrees are worthless. I have one I never worked in the applied field with. Entry level positions in my field started at $10 an hour when I graduated and even then many required a year on the job beyond the degree. My field was also saturated when I finished school it was a joke. Waste of money. I have an associates degree in who cares. I could also do manager’s jobs better than they could at places I have worked and I didn’t have the degree they did to get the position. Some sectors are false anyway and just “manufacture” the need for a degree. It’s all systemically ridiculous.

  17. depends on major, mathematics, Physics , chemistry, medical science business etc then yes not only you need college degree to find a job but you need graduate school if you want to get better job too. but art majors ? no! you don’t need college degree to acting, sing, paint, or write. so just say college degree is a big generalization and misleading statement.

  18. College is free or very low cost if you live anywhere except America? You should lead with that next time. How does this make us the greatest country on earth? And why do most other countries have free medical, prescription drugs at one tenth the price, and a paid vacation every year for every worker, even the lowest paid ones? We got a huge military though.

  19. How about doing more appenticeship programs

  20. Vocational school is a great choice because AI will not eliminate some of these skills anytime soon. Electrical wiring and plumbing are excellent fields and the pay is good.

  21. I knew several people who wanted to do military straight out of high school instead of going to college. I asked one of them, which was my friend, and he told me because he wanted to earn money right away, travel, and have the military pay for his college. His a sergeant now who has lived in Germany and has lived in two different States.

  22. In my country in Europe, they have implemented a DUAL system.
After compulsory schooling of 11 years you are 16 and either go to learn a TRADE as an apprentice or choose HIGHER education. Many jobs don't require higher education, are more manual and the skills are best acquired through an apprenticeship. We only pursue higher education, with emphasis on a SPECIFIC degree, that is required for the job we want to have. So, in the end we have qualified workers. The enrollment of post-secondary education is low compared to other countries, only 20% of the student population enrolls. Because enrollment is low, the government pays for our tuition, so we only have low semester fees of a couple hundred $.

It's inefficient to have high enrollment of university students, not only because many jobs don't require such a degree, but it also makes the job market oversaturated with uni students that have nice but unnecessary humanity degrees, which leads to higher rate of unemployment and searching for jobs they are overqualified for and have nothing to do with their actual degree.

We should normalize not making college a degree a requirement and government should invest more in trade education. Our society depends on both. Plus a trade in my country, puts you in middle class, if you also have the ambition to take over or found a small business, it's also doable.

  23. Community College, Trade School or the military are the best options in this economy. There’s no way I would go $100k in debt for a philosophy degree.

  24. My wife and I both have degrees and together about 100 thousand in student debt. Neither one of us work in our fields. We own a business. I agree.

  25. Tech schools 🏫 are on the rise

  26. because your Unites States government is the only G7 that does not pay for the secondary education of its citizens.

  27. Not worth it you get more in debt than actually being able to pay it off ,you will actually need your son's and daughters to pay it off.

  28. It depends. A lot of skills required for jobs can be obtained through watching and learning, perhaps an internship or co-op program. But if you want to pursue a career in the sciences, specifically something biomedical related, it’s better to go to college and graduate. Becoming a doctor to treat sick people is not something possible just from watching and learning. Unless you want all your patients dead, that is.

  29. The big influence is birds of a feather flying together monkey see monkey do everyone's in the same boat with you and they're all speaking the same conversation it is about your hustling tell your neighbor and everyone wants to become identified so they can become accepted so everyone faces a family crisis or some type of catastrophic damage in the first thing everyone says the first thing on the news everyone's running to motels like sewer rats like that's the ultimate answer no one goes to a motel temporarily and searches feverishly online around town word of mouth advertise after asking people rent to own property to purchase to start a new homefront in order for everyone to be led by example everyone in the state of panic and no one is using your their own noodle to get the Boodle out

Small lot purchased with cash up front rendering a steep discount if possible bulk discount up front purchase cash finance cash purchase put your small building on it utilities capabilities hook up to the store or septic or aerobic system how many stages man you're going to be alive anyway you may as well get busy living or get busy dying every step forward 10 steps backwards is not going to be a permanent situation for leading by example will be to lead to the slaughter which will be will be the roll that the Young generation will have to follow as word of mouth advertising we'll begin to spread to the children from the parents worried the children will become irritable emotional and very talkative anytime there is children around you are guaranteed might for sound your bug Jack your live wire you're hot the mic is hot the mic is hot I repeat that Mike is hot anytime there's children around Grandma my mommy and daddy were fighting my daddy said this and then Mommy said that so Daddy left yep the mic is hot you are Mic'ed, for sound jack 💥🧏🏾‍♂️👀🥵🗣️👥🥵🙊❓🌎❓🕵🏾‍♂️👀🤔🔥👀👂🔥

  30. Unless you're becoming something that requires an actual higher education… I know more ppl in debt with degrees than those that opted for another route. A trade school is a great option such as an electrician. Work ethics and office politics can help you climb the ladder faster, too. Oh, and if all else fails, be a YouTuber or a dog sitter. My dog sitter makes more money than most ppl with degrees.

  31. All this college Dedt, half of these people have never stayed focused or managed the discipline with patience to even obtain, a crew, the finances that they have invested when they are young adults on college they still ain't have not made that much and they savings accounts the poorest people are the ones that needed the most because they are the ones under the deepest influence that you didn't go to school you're a dummy you don't have no money because you're stupid that's not true you could possibly make more profit than your very first initial original investment cost more profit than your original investment costed music to my ears chain money in the Bank now you can take that to the bank

  32. Straight to the money

  33. Well when corporations and universities are importing foreign students and workers by the hundreds of thousands… odds of US citizens getting a job that will pay for college are diminishing.

  34. Do you know how many broke starving college graduates there are .. that’s right Sheepeople

  35. My friend just said, why college? We got YouTube"
    😂

  36. 5:30 This low-cost college opportunity was available in the US not too long ago. My co-workers who went to college in the late '70s and early '80s all describe how tuition was cheap enough in state universities and colleges that one could pay for it with a low-paying summer job! Somewhere in the mid-80's that all changed with less state money going to education and later on (IMO) treating college admissions like another money-making opportunity through higher tuition, more amenities, student-loan interest, and other mechanisms to increase revenue for the schools and financial institutions.

  37. Being an American is expensive in so many ways.

  38. PEOPLE IN COLLEGE ARE STILL GETTING PAID 15 DOLLARS

  39. Liberal Arts never preps for jobs

  40. That's because thay watch the last 3 generations go to college for a beer drinking degree ( bisness degree ).😳😳😳😞😞😞😞😞😞

  41. Wait until November or earlier this year, when one of the requirements to get any job will be to have a college degree. That was a flashback.

  42. I went to the military to help me to go to college. I did active duty which gave me the opportunity to go to college for free. Not free actually but I did get paid ever month from the department of Veterans Affairs Educational benefits. Which is called chapter 33, simply known as Post 9-11 GI Bill. I never have to apply for student loans while I was in college.

  43. I regret it I have allied health science and a business administration degree with a lot of experience behind me but most of these jobs are t willing to pay enough

  44. College is worth it to get a better paying job, but college is also way too expensive that it almost isn't worth it or not worth it at all. No one wants to go into debt because they wanted to further their financial prospects and are now stuck paying off student loans decades later. Not only that, but jobs have a high bar over what level of education is needed for entry level (bachelor's degree, 2-3 sometimes 5 years of experience), when a few generations ago, a high school or associates degree was more than enough. It hurts when my professor tells me in the 90's he had to pay $2k a year in tuition while I was paying at least 10x that amount.

  45. During the 08 recession, I met a man with 3 Bachelors degrees. I had a CDL and was still working. He had no job and a ton of debt. Wow!
