In the wake of mass shootings in Buffalo, Uvalde and Highland Park, gun company CEOs testified before Congress about their soaring profits. Leading gun manufacturers have earned more than $1 billion from the sale of AR-15 rifles over the past decade. Democratic Rep. Carolyn Maloney said that their investigation found that gun manufacturers used “dangerous marketing tactics to sell assault weapons to the public.” However, Republicans on the committee are calling the hearing “political theater.”

Using this approach, we should hold news company CEOs responsible for misinformation. Or drug companies when people overdose on their products or have an adverse reaction to a vaccine. Can we sue car manufacturers when someone runs through a crowd of people? Can we sue local governments if we are shot in a gun free zone because no-one else could have a gun?
The reason that sales have went up is that because of the continued threat of banning the most popular rifle in the US. Still yet since 1994 the number of, to use the made up term "assault rifles" have increased 4 times over. Yet shootings with ARs or AKs are still less then 1% of shootings. You would think that with 20 million AR15s we would see way more shootings with them. That said, you have a 1 in 10 chance of dying from a poor decision from your medical care provider, exponentially higher than being killed with a firearm of any type. Any of these shootings are tragic, but easily could have been stopped or ended with a good guy with a gun (Eli Dickens), but the media and democrats do not concern themselves with the mass shootings that happen every weekend in Chicago… thats intriguing to me. We know the reason, the left does not want an armed and free populace plain and simple. An armed population with AR15s are a free populace, read the 2nd Amendment and the latest Bruen case.
Guns not the problem but EASY ACCESS to guns is the problem…. states laws restrict drivers to go through tests in order to drive but gun owners in red states can just order a battlefield rifle online once reached 18 yo… US is the only country in the world where mass shooting is a problem because crazy people can get guns easily…
