There’s a large population of homeless individuals living in the adjacent area— near the banks of the San Diego River in Mission Valley. I owned and lived in a condo with my then husband until after our daughter was born in 2006, which even then had become too dangerous to go for our runs along the jogging path. Bring back state mental institutions. Jail is not the answer for these outwardly violent, mentally incompetent & substance bound individuals. If you are willing to commit crimes against others, you are now a threat within the community. As sad as it is, some people are just beyond help.
