Women care more about the option and freedom over what specifically will be allowed because people don't trust the government in any way. So if your choice is no exception or a mandatory week limit, you're choosing the law with more options.
As a left-leaning Independent, I surprised myself by considering that maybe the Supreme Court was right to send the abortion issue back to the states. However, problems arise when state legislatures overreach to infringe on the rights of other states. Maybe you can tell me I can't terminate a pregnancy in your state but don't terrorize providers in states where abortion is legal into refusing me my rights and their rights. It's despicable and despotic. That said, Kansas gives me hope that even conservatives have had enough.

Should the degree of bodily autonomy a person has (in essence how much of fully independence human being they are) depend on what state they happen to live in? I was not in the least bit surprised by the Kansas vote. If you held that same vote in every single state, I GUARANTEE you the result would be the exact same. Why? Because this is NOT an GOP or Democratic issue, it is NOT a state issue. It is HUMAN issue, and humans don't want to be told (by a minority of religious nutjobs) what to do with their bodies.
