In California, a massive push is underway to get a better handle on the McKinney Fire, the state’s largest wildfire this year. The fire has exploded to nearly 60,000 acres, forcing thousands to evacuate, and has killed at least four people. The deadly blaze is still on the move and a new forecast is predicting more troubling days ahead.

There are 33 million acres of forest in California…..40% of that is privately owned. 57% is Federally owned. 3% is State owned.
