I'm a teacher, the politics will most likely mean that I leave the public school soon. I can't believe that the teacher's union president would blast half the people in the country when tax dollars pay for ALL students. However, I've heard rumblings from the national union. It's ominous and not great at all. Parents need to be on their guard.
Wouldn't it be nice if all public school graduates were at least minimally prepared, with an IQ of 87 or higher? That would make them qualified to join the armed services! Think about that. Our armed services are unable to find candidates who aren't smart enough. Add to that the fact that felons and drug addicts are disqualified and you have the situation we are experiencing: not enough qualified candidates to maintain our force levels. Joe's chains of ignorance lead directly to the chains of poverty. Repeat over and over in the inner city!
I'm a teacher in the public school and classes start today. We just had to do all these PDs prior to classes starting. I had to watch a 60 minute presentation on how to respect others pronouns and taught how to add your pronoun on website and an 11 minute one on keeping kids safe in case of an active shooter. If I speak up, I'll lose my job. I'm the only one not a member of the union at my site. I have 6 years left and not sure if I can continue.
