Well we are spending billions dollars per city to take care of illegal immigrants, no wonder teachers who shape the next generation are underpaid and over stretched. There is equality but not equity, what we need is equity.
Let's be honest being a teacher isn't worth it anymore
There are so many reasons why there is a shortage of teachers and staff. The whole education system needs to be destructed because the expectations/workload for teachers is ridiculous. To become a teacher in texas is insane. So many people who work in the education system truly love what they do but when all these things are demanded from you, you get burned out. The students are so disrespectful and parents don't help. Parents don't want anybody telling their kids anything so what does a teacher do. Parents should just keep their kids at home then.
Well that’s what happens when you guys blame teaches for everything. Who want to deal with ignorant parents

Go to SCHOOL for a useful degree!! .. Teaching is one of the most highly compensated professions .. AWESOME benefits and a FULL FAT Pension one can retire on after only 30yrs working. Most teachers do NOT have to work hard, work short days, have Summers off and LOTS of Holidays. Don't listen to the crying teachers, it's an old tactic to get pay raises, and some have lost touch with what hard work is, lol .. Police suffer the same sad sack thinking.
