Federal officials in Mexico are deploying hundreds of troops to the border city of Tijuana following a wave of violent attacks. NBC News’ Guad Venegas reports on how violence from cartels has left dozens of businesses and vehicles destroyed this week.

If you get rid of the Cartel gangs there would be no justification for the military.
Putin or Xi, are not going to invade Tijuana. To justify the existence of a military the community has live in tyranny.
Profit, drugs, violence, and crime justifies a military presence in society. This is why the cops do not arrest or shoot down the gangs. Just do enough damage to make it appear they are on the right side of the community but if you chop off the hand that feeds you there will be no more reason for the escalation of troops, curfews, and surveillance with which to place the community under total control of the police and military.
There are no international threats coming from anywhere that justifies a military. There has to be a justification somewhere and the Cartel gangs are it.
