i think at 50 drivers should get test yearly or every other year to keep license
This is why I’ve always said at age 65 you should start having to re-take your drivers test yearly. Once you start to decline, it happens incredibly quickly. I’ve worked in an assisted living facility and half the residents, even some into their 90s were still driving. There ain’t no way all of them still had the capacity to drive. So dangerous!
Take her license before she ends up in a Pizza Hut next.
a dealership I ran years ago got to display cars in the local mall. I always got a giggle driving through the mall (after hrs). reminded me of the blues brothers movie.

Newswriters have become very lax in identifying city, state, and even country when giving location descriptions (so are many websites)! My second grade teacher made it clear to us that a complete report or set of directions gives enough context that a visitor could find the place on a map, if need be.

This is a prime example of why old people should have to test their mental acuity to keep their licenses. I mean a lot of people are already stupid, then they get old and confused… Making them even more stupid! The only reason people didn't die is because old people go too slow.
The mall should replaced the pole immediately that allows drivers to know that vehicles aren't allowed past that point.
She was driving slowly so it’s unlikely to be malicious and that dangerous. A good lesson to malls that even a simple cone is needed to prevent things like this.

Should have never possibly happened anyways .. just like the other story .. toddler walks out of the elevator by herself and walked right through an open window without the the screen . Fell 200 feet to hee death .. something can be highly avoided..

I think once you hit 60 you should have to retake your driving license. I’ve seen this type of thing many times and just recently. Just not in a mall, but elderly driving the wrong way down a major road. And even with just driving normally, they will do 25 to 30 on a 60mph hi way which is just as dangerous. At least nobody was hurt here but just think about how tragic this could have been if she had panicked and sped thru the mall

I was at a CVS when an elderly lady was trying to park. She hit the gas instead of the brake and her car went over the parking block, between the door and a couple of pillars at the entrance, hit two parked cars and finally stopped. I heard someone say she was 89. She was ticketed and may have lost her license, and the police had her call a relative to pick her up because they weren't going to let her drive away. She wasn't injured but very shaken and confused.
Its a drive thru shopping experience. Pick n pay later. "Whis in whis out"
And they let her keep her license!
