The nation’s airlines are under pressure after receiving billions in taxpayer support to improve customer service or the government could soon impose tough new passenger rights. In an exclusive interview with NBC News’ Tom Costello, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg warned that consequences could come if they don’t comply. Weather, air traffic control problems, and a pilot shortage are some of the issues the industry is facing.

A massive shutdown of the airlines by Biden, and now Buttgig is saying it's everyone else is at fault. During the shutdown many pilots took early retirement, so now there is a shortage of pilots. It will take years to fully man the aircraft again.
And now the far leftist NBC is supporting the Buttgig lies by broadcasting those lies to the American people.
Buttgig is just making PR noise ahead of his run for the next presidential election.

You know what I love mayor Pete! I think that is fair. Airline tickets can be quite expensive, delays on people's vacations that they have worked extremely hard to get delayed. Or sometimes cancel! Leaving people stranded including myself at airports with no accommodations. These are everything that should happen! Accountability for the consumer. Good job Mary Pete.. Putting them on notice.

My Brother in Law was rerouted three times and eventually stranded in Tulsa OK, while trying to get a plane to Sydney Australia, so he could attend his Mother’s funeral. He was supposed to be leaving from Dallas Fort Worth. The airline’s response? A shoulder shrug. A week later, they still haven’t returned his luggage. Thanks for nothing. Their attitude was a wonderfully zen version of “Being in the moment”.
