I’m a respiratory therapist. I got lucky and got scholarships and grants so my student debt is only 20k. Many of my co workers have 60k in debt and make 60k-70k a year in a town where you can’t buy a decent house for less than 400k. Their payments for their student loans are over $500 a month of they want to actually ever pay them off. I’m just saying, the income that many receive after years of hard work and then performing a stressful, demanding, and vital job is just not adding up with the level of debt they have. Not saying I know how to fix it but something has to change.
